If you don't already know this about me, I LOVE to glow. I'm always buying highlighters, blush toppers anything that with make me GLOW! One of my most asked questions a day when i'm at work is what I use to make my skin look glowy/dewy (when my makeup has been in for a good few hours the oils help me out). My skin type is oily, well I say very oily and some people with oily skin don't like to glow but I love it! I do use mostly powders to achieve the look I love. I'm going to mention some of my favourite products and a few different options!
I do use a few different items and I layer them up, but there's no need for you to do that if you don't feel the need to. Start off with your favourite base, I love Natural Radiance Primer by mac and the Nars All Day Luminous Weighless foundation by Nars. (Would you like me to do an updated foundation routine?) once I've done everything I put my bronzer on. Now you can use a shimmery/glowy bronzer, I've just bought the new Hourglass on but I've only used it twice, I really want to try the one by theBalm. The one I have on in the picture is a Give Me Sun by mac. Now with blush, this is my first step.. You can either use a matte blush and add a blush topper or use a glowy blush alone (or still with a blush topper). Here are some of my
favourites! Starting with Blushes, I've really been liking my Miliani Baked Blushes, I've got the shades 05 Luminoso which is a beautiful peachy shade and 06 Bellissimo Bronze with is a shimmery bronze/peach. Then a MUST HAVE of mine Mac blush in Margin! Whenever I wear this I get compliments, I've not wore it in a while so I think it's time to break it out! Even when I wear a shimmery blush I do like to add a blush topper (not so much with Margin). I currently am swapping between Becca Blush in SweetPea (which isn't completely matte, more of a satin) and my two Milani blushes. Two of my faves which I bought last year are the Laura Mercier Shimmer Block in Peach Mosaic 😍 one if my top faves it is So beautiful! And my Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Rose Gold! Again another amazing product! I used these both up to about last month when I purchased the a Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder in Starlight, this is beautifullll. It's what's on my cheeks in the top pic (mixed with something I'll tell you about later). Now all the ones I've told you about are priced £30-£35, the one with the clear lid is something everyone should own. It's the Makeup Academy undress your skin shimmer highlighter in Opalescent Amber, I got mine from Superdrug and it's £3! And it's really beautiful! To apply my blush toppers I use my blush brush which is the MAC 129SH brush. All of these products are amazing, the ones that are more pricey are worth it because one tap gives you all you need. Moving on to highlighter!
My number 1 favourite highlighter is theBalm's Mary-Lou Manizer, it's a gorgeous champagne shimmering pot of perfection! And it's under £20! It is so pigmented you do not need much at all. My new favourite highlight brush is the mac 128, I've had this brush for years and never really used it much. Recently i'm spraying my face with my Mac Fix + then applying my cheekbone highlight it makes it soo intense which i'm lovinnnng. Then recently I've been using one of my newer purchases, the Nars Dual Intensity Blush in Jubilation! (I have just ordered Frenzy aswell). I've been using the peachy side mixed with the Kevyn Aucoin highlighter (on the 1st pic) it gives a gorgeous glow, then I've been using the gold side above the arch of my brows on my forehead to give a golden glow and a tiny bit over my Mary-Lou highlighter then I spray my face again with more Fix+! If your more into cream highlighters I have some options for yooou.. Mac Cream Colour Bases are lovely, on the pic I've shown Pearl (the more yellow/gold one) and Shell. Pearl is my personal favourite. Then a cheaper alternative, which I just recently bought is the Sleek Precious Metals Highlighting Palette, this palette is so beautiful it has 3 cream highlights then a bronze powder highlight. The creams are SO pigmented and they are gorgeous shades! I'd reccomend everything in this post, that's what it's all about! I'm constantly on the look out for new highlights and ways to glow, recently this is what I've been doing every time I do my makeup and I always get so many questions!
