Rome Trip and Sephora Haul!

Hello everyone, i'm back from Rome and it was beautiful! We had really nice weather except for one day were it was a little gloomy and rained for about an hour! I was so excited to go to Rome because I LOVE history so it was really exciting seeing all the roman history and Italian is my favourite food so having pizza and pasta everyday was a dream!
On the first day we did the coliseum. We did get a guide to take us around and skipped the line, I'd recommend you do this if your going to go to Rome, we didn't pre book the tour though there are people outside and we just joined one of those groups. The coliseum was my favourite building, it's so big and amazing! We had dinner at a restaurant facing the coliseum outside with the sun shining it was beautiful! On the 3 days we were there we did the forum tour, which is amazing because it's crazy to see all the ruins and your imagination goes wild! We saw the Fountana di Trevi which I was really looking forward to seeing but it was under construction so it had no water in and had scaffolding all over which I was really upset about but there's lots to see in Rome! We did the Vatican museum tour which is really long, really really long and we ate in some beautiful restaurants down side streets which were so cute and had amazing food! We used the metro to get around which took some getting used to, we googled the line and stop we needed so we didn't get lost! There's  some things we didn't see, mainly because we searched for hours couldn't find it then gave up! I really enjoyed Rome and I really want to see more of Italy as there are some amazing places to see! Being in Rome I did a lot of shopping! I had lots of trips to Sephora! So I have another haul for you!

Let's start with the Sephora brand items. I really wanted to try some bits from the Sephora brand so I went straight to them! First I picked up the Sephora Contour Eye Pencil 12H Wear (waterproof) in the shade 08 Sun Tan. I really wanted a gold/bronze eyeliner and this pencil is so nice and creamy and stays on the eyes for hours! Then I got 4 eyeshadows, the first one I got was N.82 Hollywoods Calling, it's a brown eyeshadow with gold glitter it's SO beautiful and creamy! Then I got the Three in the palette, you buy these as singles and then put them into the palette the top left is N.74 Walking in The Sand, the top right is N.68 Satin Corset then at the bottom is N.77 Hawaiian Beach. Then I got the Sephora Blush in Coral Crush N.04, it's a beautiful coral/peach colour it does have a lot of shimmer to it but I personally like it. I got the Sephora Mineral Powder brush. I got this for foundation and I've only used it once and so far I like it. Lastly for Sephora makeup I got the Sephora Rouge Lipstick in R20 Honey, I LOVE this colour. It's a nudey peach it's gorgeous if you live near a sephora and you can swatch it go in and do so it's so nice! Then last for sephora stuff I got 6 of there fibre masks. I got the Pearl mask which is Perfecting & Brightening, the Ginseng mask which is Toning & Revitalizing. The Honey mask which is Nourishing & Balancing, the Lingzhi mask which is Anti-Aging & Smoothing, the Rose mask which is Ultra Moisturizing & Brightening and lastly I got the Pomegranate mask which is Anti-Fatigue & Energizing! I'm so excited to try these! I didn't get them all I think there are 8 in total. I do want to try them all but I didn't want to over do it! I also really wanted to try some Marc Jacobs makeup as I've not seen it anywhere in the UK. The first thing I got and I wanted to try was the #instamarc, it's a contouring duo. It says it's 'light filtering contour powder' I got the shade 40 Mirage Filter. I had to ask a lady because there was none out on the display and they only had one left in stock and luckily it was the one I wanted! I mainly got it for the yellow powder for under my eyes because it's huge! I then got 2 of there (P)outliner Longwear Lip Pencils in the shades (Nude)ist, it's more of a brown nude shade, then I also got Honey(bun) which is a peachy/pink. These are really nice and really long wearing. The packaging of these is so cute! I think these are limited edition i'm not to sure (I think it's the 'New Nudes' collection) from the same collection I got the Sheer Lip Gel Lipstick in the shade 146 Anais, there's 6 lipsticks in the collection and 3 are sheer and 3 aren't, the one I got isn't sheer, the packaging is gorgeous, it's a strange beige colour but it's really nice! Lastly from Marc Jacobs I got the Lust For Lacquer Lip Vinyl in 306 Sweet Escape, I really like this gloss it does have a slight tingle but I didn't notice any plumping. The next bits are just ransoms. I got the Chanel Rouge Coco lipstick in 432 Cécile, my first ever Dolce & Gabbana lipstick in 120 Nude and my first Givenchy lipstick in 102 Beige Plume it's a peach nude. All the lipsticks I got are a nude/peach shade! Then lastly I got 2 eyeshadows I got my first Makeup Forever Artist Shadow in D-750 Frosted Peach, I got this because it's really similar to my favourite mac pigment in pink bronze. It's gorgeous, I did want more of the Artist Shadows but they only had a really small selection of them. Lastly I got an eyeshadow from the brand Diego Dalla Palma (I got this from the airport) in the shade number 10 it's a gorgeous gold copper! I also bought a new Beauty Blender and Cleanser, but I got that from BeautyBay.com before I went to Rome!

I wont be doing my March favourites because I only had like 3 things so I'll add them onto my April favorites at the end of the month.

My Top 10 Skincare Picks

I don't have much skincare and I will admit i'm not massive on it, these are the products I love and use!
1. Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser - this is a really nice cleanser, you massage it on to dry skin then wet the Muslim cloth and wipe it off. I don't really like to splash my face with water so this is perfect! It's so much quicker and easier, my skin always feels so amazing after I use this. Naturally active ingredients include eucalyptus and cocoa butter for smoother, cleaner skin. I'd love to try more Liz Earle skincare.
2. Bioderma Créaline H20 - this is on of my must haves! It's a cleansing water. I use this every morning and night. I soak a cotton pad and wipe. It takes one swipe to remove all makeup! It's perfect to have in your kit if your a makeup artist. It feels like water on the skin doesn't leave my skin sticky. I got a two pack when I was in Paris, it's a deffo must have.
3. MAC Volcanic Ask Exfoliator - I've mentioned this product before on my blog, it was one of my first blogposts. It's a really amazing exfoliator. It gets the job done but doesn't irritate the skin. My skin is quite sensitive and after I used this my skin didn't sting or feel tight. It's great for the body aswell.
4. Neal's Yard Remedies Power Berry Daily Moisture -  this is an old fave of mine and I've only just repurchased it. It's a very lightweight moisturiser. I wrote about it in my mini haul post, I'll leave a link at the bottom if you want to read more.
5. MAC Strobe Cream - this is a cult classic at mac. It's a moisturiser with such a gorgeous pearlescent glow. I have the travel size version, I prefer the packaging it's easier to get out. This is an essential in summer, you can mix it in with foundation or wear it alone.
6. Bioderma Hydrabio Légère - this again I've mentioned before on my blog. It's a really light cream, it's for dehydrated skin, which mine certainly is but mine is also oily and this works perfectly for me, there is a rich cream also which I use in my kit for anyone with dry skin. I'm so glad I got these when I was in Paris! I will leave a link below where you can purchase Bioderma products here in the UK.
7. MAC Wipes - these wipes are amazing. They are quite strong so if you have sensitive skin they will sting a little bit at first but once your skin gets used to them it will be fine, they get everything off!
8. Eyeko Mascara Off Eye Makeup Remover Wipes - I love these! I only use these when I'm wearing a lot of eye makeup. These are pure cotton wipes with Olive Oil to smooth and Aloe Extract to soothe. They really do what they say they do.
9. MAC Blemish Control Gel - this is a new product from mac and it's really good! I apply it once I've took my makeup off, just put a dot on the blemish and it really does work! It reduces redness aswell as getting rid of the spot.
10. GlamGlow Supermud - I've ran out if mine that's why I don't have a picture but this mask is AMAZING. Deffo my fave out of all the masks, I need to repurchase another one as it's SO good, it clears skin it can be used as an overnight spot treatment it's just the best face mask I've ever tried! 100% recommend these GlamGlow masks!
That's it's for my favourite skincare products! As always I will leave some links down below!

HUGE makeup haul!

So here I am, with another haul! I love buying makeup! So at the start at this month I told myself, you don't need any makeup this month. You don't need to buy any your going to Rome at the end of the month just wait. Safe to say that didn't happen!
I really do have a problem! Some of them are just repurchases and some are completely new to me. Now I feel like I have to say a disclaimer, I work for MAC so I get discount from all the brands under Estée Lauder and also I also get a professional discount from some other brands. Now that's cleared up, let's get to what I've bought. I am waiting on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Refill in Banana, I've been running low on it for awhile now but I didn't wanna just order one thing off the ABH website but I got an email off one of my favourite beauty websites to shop on in the UK and they have just got the contour refills! So I ordered Banana as it is one of my must haves! I bought 2 brushes, one of my favourite brushes the MAC 242 and a new type of brush for me the 129 Luxe Fan from Zoeva.

First I stocked up on some lashes, I got three pairs on 36's and a pair of 35's both by MAC and I got my first pair of Velour Lashes in Wispie Sweet Nothings, I love them, I wore them last night there so fluffy and look amazing deffo going to be getting some more styles.
Next on to face products, i'm on a bit of a foundation kick at the minuet. I'm obsessed with buying them! First I repurchased my MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW15 then I got the Nars All Day Luminous Weightless foundation in Light 5 Fiji, I really love this foundation I've been wearing it for a week I did a review/first impressions post on it I'll leave a link at the end of this post if your interested in reading it, the next 3 foundations I've bought I've never used before, I got the Chanel Perfection Lumière Velvet in 20 Beige, Tom Ford Traceless Perfection Foundation in 03 Fawn and the
Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder foundation in 03 Fair, if you want any first impressions on these foundations let me know! Then I repurchased my MAC Prolongwear concealer in NC20 then I bought the Charlotte Tilbury Retoucher Pen in 1 Fair, i'm obsessed with the packaging it's an entire rose gold pen! It's the same style packaging as the MAC Prep + Prime Highlight pen but it's completely rose gold! I repurchased my bronzer MAC Give Me Sun, it's such a warm colour I prefer more of the terracotta colour. Then I finally got Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal. I had this in summer and it was faulty so I sent it back to be exchanged and they were out of stock so I've been trying to get another one since last summer! That's all the face products I bought. I only got 2 eye products. The MAC Cinderella Glitter in Reflects Pearl, this is a permanent product (in normal packaging) and the Nars Eyeshadow Duo in Isolde, I've been wanting this for ages but it wasn't available on the website so when it was in stock I bought it straight away! It's beautiful! Lastly, and my favourite products, lippys! I got Soar lipliner by MAC,  I got 4 limited MAC lipsticks, (l-r) Forbidden Sunrise, this is a matte orange it's beautiful. Next is Boca it's a Satin finish it's quite similar to Brave also by mac but I don't own any colours like that (crazy I know). Next is probably my fave packaging the Cinderella collection lipstick in Royal Ball, it's a luster finish and a pale pink, I really only bought this for the
packaging cause it's so cute! Last mac lipstick is Barbecue, it's a matte bright orange red!
MAC have been on fire with collections this month! I also got the new Rouge Coco lipstick in Adrienne 402, these lipsticks are really creamy and hydrating I can't wait to get
more shades. Lastly I got the a Nars Audacious lippy in Raquel, again another product which had been out of stock for ages and when they first launched the line of lipsticks this was the first one I wanted. So that's everything from my huge haul! I'm really happy with everything I've bought and i'm excited to try the new things out! I'm going to leave some links down below of some of my favourite places to shop!

Makeup Geek Eyeshadows..

I've been meaning to do this post for a while now, I mentioned them in a haul in Febuary but I wanted to do a more in depth post on them once I'd used them and knew what I thought.
All of Makeup Geek eyeshadows are cruelty free (not tested on animals) talc and paraben free.
I got 8 of there normal eyeshadows and 2 of the Foiled eyeshadows. The foiled ones I got were Grandstand and Flame Thrower. These eyeshadows are like nothing I've ever used! They are so creamy and pigmented. You can tap the eyeshadow and it gives you amazing colour payoff!  Grandstand is described as a medium rose gold with slight taupe undertones and a foiled finish. Flame Thrower is described as a true brightened warm copper with a foiled finished. Now for there normal shadows. I got Beaches & Cream named after the velvety, warm skin of a peach, and the soft subtle sands on a beach, described as a creamy matte natural beige with just a hint of peach. This is probably the shadow I use the most out of the 10 I bought. Then I got Peach Smoothie, this is my most used out of them all. It has a huge dint init and I've only had it for a month. It's very creamy and pigmented, it's described as a light peach beige with a soft matte finish. Next I got Crème Brulee, described as a medium sand color with a soft matte finish. It's quite warm I've only just started to use this one. Next is Frappé, this is one of my favourites I reach for it most times I do my makeup it's a really warm medium brown described as Medium maple brown matte. Next is Latte, this is a cooler than all of the others I got, it's described as a matte medium brown. Again this is one i'm rarely using, just because I wear really warm tones. Next is Goddess, this is probably the least pigmented out of them all, but it's a beautiful warm copperish shade, it's described as a metallics pals copper, it's got a gorgeous gold shimmer to it. Then I got a Makeup Geek must have, Cocoa Bear. Described as a matte reddish brown. This is very pigmented. A tap will give you what you need, I've not used this one too much but it is a lovely shade. Lastly is Chickadee, again another shade I don't use everyday but I use this sometimes to blend everything and add warmth, it's described as a matte orange yellow. I love all of the shades I bought and I can't wait to get more! I deffo have my eyes on some more of the foiled eyeshadows and the Vegas Lights palette! I really reccomend these eyeshadows to everyone! They are so affordable and worldwide shipping is also affordable! It took about 10 days to get to the UK which isn't too long. My favourites are Grandstand, Peach Smoothie & Frappé!

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation First Impression + Review

This is the first time I've ever done a first impression/review of something! I'm obsessed with buying foundations at the minuet. I got a sample of the new Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation and when I tried it I knew I was going to buy it but I wanted to find the right colour and give it the foundation test, a day at work. I got another sample of the shade Light 5 Fiji. So let's start by telling you about the foundation.
Picture taken from Nars' Instagram
'Its a full, natural looking coverage with unexpectedly weightless, 16 hour wear. Highly pigmented and perfectly balanced, this breakthrough formula builds and blends effortlessly with just one drop-- Even Tone Technology is designed to instantly neutralize redness and dullness, while working long term to reduce the appearance of discolouration for more even uniform skin'
The first time I saw it I was a little shocked, because it's very runny. When I felt it and heard it was full coverage I was like, no it can't be, but I took a sample and tried it. So what I did was use this foundation with all the other makeup I normally used and tested it out on a really busy Sunday on the mac counter! I applied it and 9.30 am and kept a check on it throughout the day and wrote in my notes what I thought. When I applied it first in the morning I thought it went on lovely and had beautiful coverage, I used my Neal's Yard Remidies Power Berry Daily Moisture and MAC Natural Radience Primer under. Half way through doing my makeup I noticed my forehead got a little bit shiney, I have very oily skin but I don't mind a little shine/glow to the skin, so I just set my forehead with MakeUp Forever HD powder. With everything on once I'd finished my makeup it looked beautiful! It had a luminous glow to it without being sticky and it felt really light on the skin.
I didn't get another chance to look at it properly until 3 o'clock, it was still looking really nice with a nice glow. I only noticed it had wore of my nose a little bit, but i'm very oily on my nose so it was expected. But it still looked good and everyone was complimenting me on how good my skin looked. I finished work at 6 pm. It still looked really nice, it had a glow but my forehead was quite shiny but nothing I was to bothered about. Work was really busy and it was really hot. It hadn't wore off anywhere else on my face, except on my nose like I said before. The last time I checked on it was 9.30pm. The foundation was on my face for 12 hours. I was very shiny, which was obviously going to happen, I didn't really have a problem with it because any foundation I have used I've always been shiny after 6/8 hours. Overall I really loved this foundation. It was a flawless, full coverage foundation with a very lightweight feel to it. I loved the finish of it and it wore well throughout the day, especially since I'd been at work all day. I do think it would be good for all skin types. It is probably better for normal/combination skin it did cling to the few dry patches I had on my nose (I've been ill, blowing my nose has mad it a little dry) so maybe not for dry skin, if you are dry and wanted to wear it I think if you moistureised and primed you'd be fine, for oily skin if you don't like shine setting it would be fine aswell! I was really happy with the colour. Nars claims it can do the entire face with just one pump, personally I don't agree, I like to used a few pumps because it only drops out a tiny bit. I bought it the next day (i'm waiting for it to come in the post that's why I used a picture off the @narsissit Instagram)!
If you like post like this let me know because I have the new Chanel Perfection Lumière Velvet which I've not tried yet. So if you'd like me to do a first impression on that just let me know on one of my posts!

My Makeup Must Haves.

This post is entirely on the things I love and reach for the most.. The things I couldn't do my makeup without. A few things (lip products) I went a little over the top with but they are all my most used lipsticks out of my 121 mac bullets. So let's get to it.
So the first product I cannot do my makeup without is the MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radience Primer. This is my f a v o u r i t e primer! It's moisturising but helps control my very oily skin! I love it! Next is foundation. Now I know in the picture there's a lot but I couldn't decide which was my favourite. I love foundations and I love finding new foundations, the combo i'm loving at the minuet is the MAC Studio Fix Fluid mixed with my Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk. Every time I wear it I get compliments on my skin! I love the two together!
Next is face stuffs! After my foundation my favourite concealer to use is the MAC Prolongwear Concealer, it's full coverage and stays on all day long. I've not found a better one yet! Bronzer i'm struggling with, please tell me some of your favourites I need help! Next is blush, hands down my favourite is Becca Mineral Blush in Sweetpea. I just love the shade and again everyone comments on the colour! I sometimes like to top it with the Laura Mercier Shimmer Bloc in Peach Mosaic, since I bought this I fell in love! It gives the most amazing glow to your cheeks like your glowing from within, and I love the glow! We all know that MAC Prep+Primer Highlighter pen in Light Boost holds the permanent spot in my heart for highlighting the undereyes. It's the best thing I've found, I always have backups waiting! Going back to glow, finding a highlighter to mention was SO hard because I love them all, the two that popped out was the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone and the DiorSkin Nude Tan Transat Edition (unfortunately limited edition) I can't leave the house without I highlight and these are the ones I grab! I do also love to set my Light Boost with MAC Shaping Powder in Emphasize and Anastasia Beverly Hill Banana but they are both on there last legs, I need to order Banana of the ABH website, i'm too lazy to do it yet! I can't leave the house without spritzing my face with MAC Fix+ to give my face a more 'skin' like look after all the layers I have on!
Moving on to eyes. This palette is the on,y thing I pick up. It's a Mixture of MAC eyeshadows and Makeup Geek eyeshadows. I love every colour in the palette! I have 2 of the Foiled eyeshadows in there from Makeup Geek and I now want them all! Amazing amazing eyeshadows! My No.1 brow product has got to be the Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow. Nothing can beat it!
Now for my lip products.. Clearly I love MAC lipsticks. Going from left to right is Sweet & Sour, Myth, Kinda Sexy, Viva Glam II, Mocha and Viva Glam III. Then there is some brights included aswell, can you believe it?! They are Toxic Tale (LE) and Viva Glam Miley! The best lipliners are MACs. Everyday I either use Spice, Boldly Bare or Stripdown! The Dior Fluid Sticks are amazing also! I have these in 219 & 239!

So that's all my makeup must haves! Everything mentioned is what I use if you want to know what my favourite brushes for eyes and face are I'll leave links down below to the blog posts also my foundation routine! Let me know what you would like a blog post on next!

Mini Haul

I've been away for awhile so i'm trying to make it up to you by doing a few posts this week so comment on this post or on a picture of my blog on my Instagram @ellietaylorrxx of what you would like to see and I'll see if I can make it happen! This week I've bought a few bits so I thought I'd show you.
First I re bought a moisturiser I really loved last year it's the Neal's Yard Remidies Power Berry Daily Moisture. It boosts radiance and protects youthful skin, blended with antioxidant-rich acai, bilberry and goji berry with moisturising hyaluronic acid in a lightweight lotion, help fight the effects of free radicals for brighter, dewy looking skin. I love how light it is and I really love the smell. I do have oily skin but I really love this moisturiser I'd love to try the other products in the 'Power Berry' range!
Sticking with skin, I bought the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer, it's oil free and has SPF 15, it's silky and weightless, a mineral based, water resistant primer which eliminates redness, minimizes pore size and softens fine lines. I got the 10ml size but they also have a 30ml (I got mine from SpaceNK, on the hourglass website they also have a 60ml). Next I bought the Dior Skin Airflash spray foundation, this was very interesting thing for me and at the minuet i'm a little bit foundation obsessed! I love buying and trying new foundations. This foundation is different to any other that I've seen, it's a 70ml bottle, which is bigger than all of my other foundations! It's for all skin types, it says it's a sheer coverage but I was watching reviews and it can be made to quite a full coverage, I watchd Nicole Guerrieros review on YouTube and she said she likes to use it with a flat top kabuki brush so that's what made me buy the next thing, the Zoeva 104 Buffer brush. It's so dense and SO soft. It's nothing like I've used before so I've found it a little hard but the more i'm using it the more i'm getting used to it. I really love Zoeva brushes, they are really good quality. Lastly is the new MAC Toldeo lipstick in Oxblood. I've had my eyes on this lipstick for months! It's a Matte finish and a beautiful nude. It is sold out online but in stores it launches on Thursday the 5th of March. It Launched early in Selfridges stores. So you can still get your hands on this lippy. Just another little extra I got a sample of the new Nars All a day Luminous Weightless Foundation, at first I wasn't crazy on it, it's very liquidy, but after trying it again I love it. It's full coverage even though it feels so thin, if I was you I'd go to your nearest Nars counter and get a sample as at first it's a little strange. Online there are hardly any shades in stock, i use Light 4 Deauville in both this and Sheer Glow!
That's all! Don't forget to comment and let me know what posts you'd like to see! Or comment on this picture on my Instagram @ellietaylorrxx!

Febuary Faves

Hi everyone, sorry for me being gone for so long! But i'm back today with my Febuary favourites.
I've not got a lot of things to talk about as everything I've been using I've already mentioned, i'm one of those people that when I love something I keep using it. But I've not had much new stuff to play with and review so it's a pretty boring month. But let's get to it..
First is my Bioderma Sensibio H20. It's a cleansing and makeup removing water, it's Fragrance free, alcohol free, paraben free and it's Hypoallergenic. I bought mine in Paris last year, I got the 2x 500ml pack for only €17! I've still got a whole bottle un opened, I've only just started using it everyday recently, just soak a cotton pad and wipe! Moving on, next is MAC blush in Worldly Wealth, unfortunately this was limited edition (sorry) but mac blush in Sweet As Cocoa is really similar if you like the look of it! Keeping with face this month I've been using the MAC Studio Conceal and Correct duo in Pale Pink/Pale Yellow. How I've been using this is before I put my foundation on, i'm using the pale pink side under my eyes to correct my dark circles, if you have blue/purple tones under your eyes you want to use a pink/peach shade under there to correct them and a warmer tone works better! Then I've been using the pale yellow side once all my makeup is on mixed with my Light Boost pen to brighten my undereyes! Lastly I have four eyeshadows, the first is Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eyeshadow in Golden Peach (31). I loooove this, it was a limited edition item but i'm sure you could still get this. It's very similar to the mac pressed pigments, ive been using it wet and dry, I really love the colour! Next is MAC Folie Eyeshadow (top of the 3 shadows) it's a really warm rich brown, it's quite dark but not to dark. I've been using this a lot on myself and most of my clients, I love how warm it is! Lastly is 2 Makeup Geek shadows first is one of there Foiled eyeshadows in Grandstand. I LOVE this eyeshadow, the smallest amount goes a long way, it's so smooth and creamy. It's just gorgeous! On the website it's described as a medium rose gold with slight taupe undertones, it looks more of a cool undertone at first but it's deffo got a warm undertone! My next makeup geek shadow is Peach Smoothie, I've been using this in my crease every time I've done my makeup! It's so pigmented! All makeup geek eyeshadows are cruelty free, talc and paraben free.
That's all my favourites for Feb. As always I'll leave links to everything if I can find them!
